2021 July 1st: Ongoing at Watu Africa
Working as a Portfolio Quality Officer, for the last year and a half brings a wealth of experience.
In my current role, I am tasked with duties such as;
Monitoring and control of assigned Asset Finance Portfolio using Company software, developing and strengthening clients’ relationships, regularly updating clients on Company policies and new products, following up on phone calls with overdue clients to ensure debtor’s accounts are up to date and in case of clients overdue, identifying and implementing the most efficient debt recovery methods and techniques among other assigned duties.
This has brought with it the skill of quick creativity and innovative thinking while enhancing patience and communication skills whilst dealing with clients.

This was my most challenging yet exciting phase of my career journey so far. It necessitated accurate recall of accounting lessons studied in school and also constant updating of one’s knowledge of tax policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

This was my side hustle and my upkeep providing hustle while in campus. I ran a business providing gaming services while in campus. The money coming from this hustle. It was an eye opener and made me fall in love with the business world. Duties assigned to me included but not limited to the following.
