• Duties:

• Promoting the adoption of structured grain trading system among grain value chai actors in lower eastern Kenya.
• Support the implementation of quality standards by crating awareness and increasing its application by grain actors.
• Identification and establishment of grain aggregation centers for farmers and mobilizing the aggregated volumes to be sold.
• Create market linkages through b2bs and direct linkages.
• Building capacity of grain traders, millers and other stakeholders on structured grain trading
• Training farmers on proper post-harvest handling, grain quality standards and marketing.

• Monitor and coordinate works and output of activities of KAVE – USAID project in Taita Taveta in Dairy, staples and horticulture value chains.
• Link farmers to the best markets.
• Capacity building on farmers on new technologies to increase productivity and reduce post-harvest wastages and loses.

• Create demand for seeds of kilele tomato variety.
• Offer agronomy assistance on tomatoes farmers and link farmers to market in my designed area.
