George Okoth

Dynamic and results-oriented professional with a diverse background in casual work, internships, and managerial roles. Seeking a challenging position that allows me to apply my skills in accounting, finance, and management, contributing to the growth of a forward-thinking organization.

I have gained progressive experience in accounting and finance through roles at the Kisumu Central NG-CDF Constituency Office, where I served first as an Accounts Assistant Intern (2023–2024) and later as an Accounts Assistant II (Jan–Jun 2025). In these roles, I was responsible for preparing payment vouchers, managing imprests, maintaining fuel and stores registers, compiling bank reconciliation statements, and preparing quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with CDF regulations. I also supported audits, budget preparation, and contractor payments while ensuring timely settlement of statutory and utility obligations.

Earlier, I worked as a Sales Manager at Max Klinner Enterprises (2022–2023), where I led a sales team, achieved set targets, and strengthened client relationships. Additionally, I served as a Polling Clerk with the IEBC (2022) and gained practical exposure to public finance management as an Attaché and Volunteer at the Kisumu Central National Treasury (2021–2022).

This combination of hands-on finance roles, leadership experience, and volunteer service has equipped me with strong accounting, financial reporting, and administrative skills, as well as adaptability to different professional environments.

I hold a Diploma in Accountancy from the Technical University of Mombasa (2018–2020) and I am currently pursuing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification at KCA University (2025–ongoing). I also hold a certificate in Computer Packages which has strengthened my proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
