I was based in Garba tulla sub-county working with Living goods in partnership with the county government of Isiolo as a technical advisor officer, to deliver high impact community health services,Support CHEWs/CHAs to prepare and present community units’ level reports, presentations, Assist the community unity in mattes to do with WASH,Kitchen gardening,health talks on food prepation and hygiene,nutrition assessment and referrals.

I have developed many valuable skills while in Living goods among them being, mentoring community health volunteers, training, report writing, leadership and communication skills which I will use them to deliver in your organization.

Roles

• Support the Program manager in all engagements and co-design at sub county levels, helping to establish ways of working ensuring the sub county teams are fully engaged.
• Support the Supervisor coach to monitor performance based on milestones demonstrating that Living Goods and the County Government can achieve the set performance metrics sustainably over time.
• As needed, represent, and offer support in sub county technical meetings and engagements and actively seek out, identify, advise upon, and implement opportunities for collaborative work across the health sector.
• Support CHEWs/CHAs to prepare and present community units level reports, presentations, and key insights, as necessary.
• Develop and initiate new ideas to improve how we provide technical assistance. 
• Alert the community health supervisor to any arising risks, challenges, and impediments to implementation

Living Goods-Kisii

Position: Community Health Supervisor(2018 April-2021 July)

Roles

 

• Deliver high impact community health through CHAs, CHEWs and sub-county Focal Persons
• Actively participate in the development, review, dissemination and operationalization of County level policies, legislation, strategies and other initiatives and developments by government and other stakeholders relating to nutrition, health, WASH and/or food security issues.
• Provide technical support by conducting trainings and coaching sessions to Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), Community Health Assistants (CHAs) and support sub-county health management teams (SCHMT) on performance management and supervision of CHVs.
• Provide ongoing coaching of CHEWs/CHAs on how to review and analyse data on the performance dashboards and interpret to support CHVs to deliver against targets.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity-building on service delivery, supply chain management, digital health, management of community health human workers, and compensation of CHVs, among others, and share learnings and get feedback.
