I am a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Finance degree candidate at Technical University of Mombasa, specialized in financial analysis/management and Quantitative analysis. I come from a solid academic background with a strong interest in financial management and a passion towards Data science. My area of focus and interest varies from financial analytics to quantitative data analysis.
Recently, I got the opportunity with Gusii Water and Sanitation ltd company as a finance student trainee, primarily resolving clerical issues related to financial data-entry, filing the support documents in their relevant payment vouchers forms, statutory deductions, IPO processing, calculating and remitting withholding taxes and PAYEE among other duties. I got yet another opportunity with the Aurum Utalum mining company ltd as finance assistant where primarily I conducted bookkeeping process and processing payment for casuals. I gained solid professional, analytical and problem-solving skills.
In addition, I have engaged in many professional workshops, online trainings, webinars and seminars for instance with the SATUM (for statisticians), where I have developed a deep understanding in statistics hence expanding my experience in using Excel and other advanced statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (e.g., SPSS and R software). I can collect, enter, organize and analyze significant amount of data and disseminate from them a substantive amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
