Social Work Attachment. The above mentioned student has been on attachment at Ambira Sub County Hospital for a period of 3 months as a Social Worker. She has been working under minimal supervision. During this period she assisted in the following areas:

• She took part in making sure that patients who defaulted from taking their drugs adhered to the rules and advice given
• She also traced clients who missed clinics
• Counseling of patients
• Home visited patients who were not able to pay/clear the hospital bills by collecting data and giving back feedback to the waiver committee
• At MCH: registration of 1st ANC mothers and children for immunization, giving Health talk on importance of immunization of the child and how to prevent malaria by sleeping under treated net
• Records: registration of patients and taking vital signs
• She also took part in Maternity giving health talk to new mothers who have given birth on advantages and importance of continuous breastfeeding
