September 2022 to Dec 2022: Research Assistant (COVID-19 Project) at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Data entry of PCR results in Redcap.
• Collection of Covid-19 samples from different health centers to KEMRI.
• Performing PCR tests on the Covid-19 samples.
• Ensuring good communication exists between the health care workers in the health centers and the researchers in KEMRI.

Jan 2020 to December 2021: Academic Writer (Researcher) and Freelancing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Browsing various books, academic articles, internet sites and researching on assigned topics.
• Composing and delivering academic articles, research papers, reviews, and guides using assigned academic referencing styles such as APA, Harvard, MLA and Chicago.
• Proofreading, editing, and correcting all given reports, properly and efficiently.
• Creating and submitting documents for formatting to design team and publishers.
• Extensive writing technical and non-technical academic papers and articles for educational institutions.

• Extraction of Nucleic Acid from honeybee samples
• Running PCR and DNA electrophoresis reactions
• Preparing Samples for DNA sequencing
• To investigate the foraging range of an African stingless bee species, Hypotrigona gribodoi.
• Stingless bee species management
• Helping PhD students with their molecular work
