Jacky Opande

I am currently working at KIM( Kenya Institute of Management) as the Manager -Special Projects. I am actively involved in marketing, business development and recruiting organizations to participate in the OPI( Organization Performance Index) business excellence model culminating into the COYA(company of the year Awards) and ABEA(Aviation Business Excellence Awards). I also organize trainings, conferences and capacity building programs locally and internationally for the Institute.

I have worked as the Deputy Director-( Resource Mobilization, fundraising and Partnerships) at The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust whose interventions are based in Homabay County in Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi. I built relationships and learning exchanges with the like-minded partners and friends to strengthen the organization’s vision and approach.

I have previously worked at KCA University as the Centre Director Kisumu Campus and Associate Director-International Business development for twelve years. I handled both Administrative and Faculty to bring in unity of purpose within the campus. I was a member of senate Committee, Academic Board Committee, Executive Management board in the University and where I represented the campus. I organized and implemented various capacity building programs and trainings both locally and internationally.

I have a total of twenty+ years in working environment. I am a team player focused and goal oriented. I have experience in developing and overseeing program budget allocation, conducted periodic evaluations on team performance and provided guidance on their learning and development.
