As a strategic Global Grants and Compliance Manager, I possess experience in managing and coordinating grantees to ensure timely and effective management of grants in organizations whilst ensuring that all core functions run effectively to promote good performance. I have also excelled in developing practical strategies for operational excellence and can translate strategies into tactics. Some of my career highlights include; managing and providing oversight for the entire grants process from solicitation to closeout, reviewing high-risk grant recommendations to ensure that due diligence meets regulatory and compliance requirements, reviewing and approving monthly financial reports, working closely with technical teams to ensure consistent and streamlined grantee on-boarding.
I have also managed grants coordinators and assistants, holding staff accountable to achieve team goals ensuring they have the appropriate skills to accomplish their objectives. Seemingly, I have also acquired skill-set in; contract management, risk management, training, program and project management, grants management, budgeting, leadership and supervision. I am looking to secure a senior position where my experience and skills can be utilized in ensuring the development of different organizations.
I have experience in managing and providing oversight for the entire grants process from solicitation to closeout, reviewing high-risk grant recommendations to ensure that due diligence meets regulatory and compliance requirements, managing a log that tracks the sub grantees’ compliance to reporting requirements and the disbursement of funds, serving as a resource for other departments to consult on grant-related questions, responding to external data requests, training new staff on grants process and compliance and coordination and of timely and proper closeout of grantees.
Additionally, I also provide training on grant management and compliance best practices for staff at all levels given donor restrictions and project timelines. My superior communication and time management talents position me ready to thrive in this challenging capacity. I also have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills experience in contributing to global and organizational thought leadership, projects and establishing and maintaining a broad network at all levels both internally and externally to stay abreast of changes in the sector.
