Joan Jusu

I am a passionate and dedicated psychologist who strives to improve the mental well-being of my clients.

My professional journey includes roles such as an Intern Psychologist at The Nairobi Place Addiction Treatment Center, where I conducted psychological assessments, facilitated group therapy sessions, and developed tailored treatment plans for inpatient clients. As a part-time school counselor at PCSHS, I introduced psychoeducation workshops to the students’ curriculum and conducted assessments and individual sessions, promoting resilience and well-being among the students and faculty. Additionally, my current leadership role as Counselor-in-Charge at HUG’s Organization allowed me to design and deliver mental health programs, provide psychological first aid, and lead outreach efforts in various communities across Nairobi.

Between my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counselling from Daystar University and my ongoing studies in Clinical Psychology, I have equipped myself with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and client support, complemented by a commitment to ethical practice.
