I am a results-oriented, focused, and proactive Programme Leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in designing and managing multi-country development programs across Africa, including Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia. A Kenyan citizen, I bring a unique blend of expertise in multi-program design, grants and awards management stragile and agile project management, value innovation, , partnership development, local content development, value chain management, and Cash-Based Interventions (CBI) in fragile and complex humanitarian environments.
My professional journey includes significant achievements in organizational restructuring, systems and process re-engineering, and integrated flow-mapping to optimize program impact. I have successfully collaborated with a wide range of international agencies, including the World Bank, USAID, EU, CIDA, BftW/EED, SIDA, DANIDA, Global Fund, UNICEF, Comic Relief, Big Lottery Fund, WHO, UNHCR, and national governments in East and southern Africa region.
I possess strong knowledge of PVO and INGO operations, government systems, policy development, and institutional framework strengthening. My experience extends to diagnosing and supporting more than 500 startups, SMEs, incubators, accelerators, and academic institutions, contributing to the strengthening of the Kenyan innovation ecosystem. I have been deeply involved in developing the Kenya Local Content Policy, Kenya Oil and Gas Regulations, and conducting demand and supply analyses for local content development.
Academically, I am an Economist, hold an MBA in Operations Management, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration. I have completed specialized training in agile project management, project monitoring and evaluation, grants management, strategic management, and am a Certified Advanced Senior Project Manager.
