Freelance Event Coordinator-------Coordinating events in the past such a Africarribean night at the Arts Guild, Dancehall night in Halifax, African night Dalhousie SMU Fredericton, Montreal international reggae festival, and future spoken word events for the Black Cultural Society in Charlottetown. I would basically find venues a few months in advance, and start marketing early on the television, radio, newspaper, local Buzz feeds, posters, flyers and social media. Enable online ticket purchase on the event site and a few other locations.
Get top of the line graphic design for media, editing and getting it on point. Getting closer to the event I'd get together a team of 2-3 people, for set-up, sound systems, making sure performers such as acrobats, and musicians are taken care of, at the door ticket purchase is handled, and any emergency last minute issues are taken care of efficiently.
