I’m a Mechanical Engineering professional with a strong hands-on approach to solving real engineering problems. My experience has taken me from working directly with industrial machinery and maintenance teams to handling installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field-service responsibilities. I enjoy understanding how equipment works, identifying what is going wrong, and finding practical solutions that keep operations running.

I’m still building my career, but I bring curiosity, discipline, adaptability, and a genuine drive to become the kind of engineer who can be trusted not just to maintain equipment, but to understand, improve, and make it perform better.

I have gained practical mechanical engineering experience through roles at GOMA, where I worked as a Service Engineer, and South Nyanza Sugar Company (SONY Sugar), where I served as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer and Turbines Technician/Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator. At GOMA, I was involved in the installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial and processing equipment, including pumps, compressors, mixers, agitators, dryers, conveyors, and food-processing machinery. I supported customers on-site, diagnosed mechanical faults, carried out repairs and equipment adjustments, prepared service reports, and helped ensure equipment was safely returned to reliable operation.

At SONY Sugar, I worked in a continuous-production environment supporting the maintenance and operation of steam turbines, boilers, pumps, water-treatment systems, DM plant systems, piping, and other plant utilities, while carrying out mechanical fitting, fabrication, preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting. My key achievements include gaining hands-on experience with critical industrial equipment, supporting the reduction of equipment downtime through timely maintenance and troubleshooting, successfully contributing to equipment installation and commissioning activities, and developing the ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems in demanding production environments.

I pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM), where I developed a strong foundation in mechanical design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, manufacturing, materials, machine design, maintenance engineering, and industrial operations. My studies combined theoretical engineering knowledge with practical laboratory and workshop experience, strengthening my ability to analyse mechanical systems, solve engineering problems, and apply engineering principles to real-world industrial applications.
