Maritim Florida

Currently the Assistant Director, Corporate Communication at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) Headquarters’ Secretariat, Nairobi. She is the communication and publicity technical support focal person for the GRASK. She is a PhD Student undertaking Doctor of Philosophy degree in Communication Studies at Moi University, Kenya.

She holds Master of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Maseno University and Bachelor of Arts in Business and Information Technology from African Nazarene University. She is talented with the ability to blend Information Technology background with the art of Corporate Communication & Public Relations. She is a hands-on strategic manager, with excellent skills at planning, organizing and executing high level events.

Ms. Maritim has extensive knowledge on the development and implementation of publicity, outreach and advocacy strategies.

Currently working at KALRO has an Assistant Director Corporate Communications have build up the career from being an ICT Officer in Tea Research Foundation of Kenya, this was based on my skills in BBIT, however with my person of public communication i undertook a training in Public Relations to aligned with what I love most. My combination of modern communication by use of ICT platforms ties very well with my communication skills to undertake the roles and responsibilities of a premier research institution like KALRO.
