Martins Agenuma

Professor Martins Agenuma Anetekhai is an Emeritus Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture with over four decades of research, teaching, policy and consultancy leadership across Nigeria and Africa. He combines a Ph.D. in Fisheries with direct field experience assessing and advising aquaculture and fisheries programmes for donor-funded initiatives including DFID (now FCDO), FAO, the European Commission, and the African Union–InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR). His work spans value-chain assessment, smallholder aquaculture development, household-level livelihood restoration planning, and blue economy policy design for national and sub-national governments, giving him a strong grounding for evaluation assignments spanning Nigeria and East Africa.
