I have worked with diverse groups including refugees, students, women, and people in correctional facilities, helping them improve their mental health and well-being. With a background in training, supervision, and program management, I bring strong skills in building trust, developing strategies, and providing care in both clinical and community settings.
I am a licensed counseling psychologist with over two decades of experience in mental health care, counseling, and community support. My work spans hospitals, schools, refugee programs, and correctional facilities, where I have provided individual and group therapy, trauma care, crisis intervention, and psychological assessments. I have managed and trained mental health workers, supervised clinical teams, and developed psychosocial programs for diverse populations, including refugees, survivors of sexual violence, people living with HIV/AIDS and TB, and displaced communities.
My earlier career in customer relations strengthened my skills in active listening, empathy, and rapport building, which I now integrate into my clinical practice.
I am completing my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with coursework finished and thesis in progress. I hold multiple professional certifications including Trauma and Debriefing, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Psychometrics Testing, Counseling Supervision, Emotional Intelligence, and Mental Health Advocacy.
