2024 – WACS Undersea Cable Outage Recovery
Restored IP Transit and L2VPN MPLS services for 30+ customers by rerouting to Equiano cable after major WACS outage. Directly contributed to $100,000 revenue recovery for WIOCC.
2024 – MikroTik DCN Network Security Hardening
Full security audit and remediation across 50+ MikroTik routers spanning Africa and Europe. Implemented least-privilege access, protocol upgrades, and RouterOS updates — substantially improved security posture.
2023 - Credit Bank Data Center Migration (Mwalimu Towers → ADC Data Center)
Led the end-to-end network and security migration of Credit Bank’s primary data center. Successfully migrated Cisco Internet routers, Checkpoint Perimeter Firewalls, Cisco Core switches/DC Server Farm Switches, Cisco NAC ISE. Designed and implemented secure connectivity between legacy and new data center environments, ensuring business continuity and improved performance.
2022 – British American Tobacco (BAT) Network Segmentation & Cisco Firewall Reconfiguration
Redesigned and segmented the BAT factory network separating the highly vulnerable factory production equipment which have legacy windows XP machine that can’t be upgraded. Secured these machines behind a highly available Cisco ASA Firewalls.
2021 - Check Point Firewall Refresh – Orient Bank Uganda (Rebranded to I&M Bank Group)
Executed full Checkpoint firewall refresh and upgrade for a major Uganda bank under the I&M Bank Group. Replaced legacy Check Point infrastructure with new high-availability cluster, migrated complex security policies, VPNs, and NAT rules, and optimized rule base for better performance and compliance. Delivered enhanced threat protection and reduced administrative overhead.
Multi-Vendor Firewall Deployments & Optimization (NTT Data)
Designed, configured, and troubleshot Cisco ASA/FTD/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, and Check Point firewalls for multiple enterprise and financial clients.
