Michael Mathenge

I am a diligent, highly professional and ethical medical doctor passionate about the practice of medicine. With 12 years of working experience in both the private and public sector, I have garnered outstanding experience in management of patients from all walks of life utilizing Medical and surgical skills acquired through extensive study, practice and consultation with senior peers. A high attention to detail is second nature to me and I strive to give the best care to my patients.

To add to my medical background, I am currently pursuing a masters in business administration, specializing in health care management. I am in the final stages of completing my thesis.

I am currently working part time at Kileleshwa medical plaza as I complete my studies. prior to that I was a medical officer at Gertrude's children's hospital from 2011 up t 2018.

While working in the private sector, I managed many clients who utilized private insurance schemes to make payments. This gave me invaluable knowledge in the way health policies work and I was able to advice clients appropriately on how to manage their cover without squandering resources that are critical in healthcare. I was also able to follow up on admitted patients through the networks I had developed over the years in different hospitals giving me the unique advantage of being informed of the patients progress and doctor’s report/ prognosis.

I am flexible in any work environment, able to adapt to ever changing challenges with a track record of delivering exceptional patient satisfaction no matter the circumstance. I believe that effective communication, transformational leadership, great teamwork, time management and keeping abreast with organizational standard operating procedures are fundamental to success especially in a delicate profession like medicine.

With my medical experience and knowledge gained whilst pursuing my MBA, I believe I would be a valuable asset to your organization as a care manager.
