I'm a highly motivated and results-oriented sports administrator with a solid background in community development. My experience in football drives my passion for using sports to create social change. I'm dedicated to developing and implementing programs that empower young people, promote inclusivity, and build positive community engagement through football initiatives.
My aim is to contribute to organizations that leverage sports to tackle social challenges and make a real difference for individuals and communities.
I've had a few roles where I've focused on sports administration and community development. As CEO of Cheza Sports Academy since November 2023, I've been in charge of everything from strategic planning and financial management to team development. I lead and mentor the coaches and staff, create innovative programs for player development and community engagement, and handle contract negotiations to secure funding.
I also represent the academy at community events, building relationships with stakeholders.
Before that, from January to December 2020, I was an Administrator at Cheza Sports Academy, where I managed daily operations like administrative tasks, scheduling, travel, and financial matters. This included player registrations, fee collection, budget management, financial reporting, and handling accounts payable and receivable.
I also gained experience as a Social Work Intern at Mukuru Promotion Center from April to July 2022. In that role, I helped plan and implement community development programs, provided support and counseling to individuals and families, conducted assessments, and developed case plans for clients. I also participated in team meetings and trainings to further my professional development
I have a Diploma in Community development and Social Work. Which I attained from The Cooperative University of Kenya.
