Morris Nthiga

I am an enthusiastic and goal oriented person with skills and and experience of more 4years in project management field. I am a Christian and am passionate about charitable works. i am determined to work on a challenging position to gain more experience, grow, deliver positive results, rise through the chain of command in an organization to lead it and become an expert at what I do.

I recently worked as the assistant to County Project Coordinator -Embu for 5years up to the time project closed,31st December 2022. I handled a lot of issues and thus my experience in diverse fields increased tremendously. I acquired skills in coordination and management, risk assessment, monitoring and evaluation, strategic management, office and field work. Some of my tasks included;

• Participating in project information data capture and processes, storage and analysis and information sharing of the project experiences and lessons.
• Assisting in Undertaking regular M&E activities including follow up of demonstrations and trial sites of the project
• Assisting in coordinating awareness training, field days and exhibitions/any event related to the program based on the work plans and budget.
• Assisting in Maintaining in performance standards to meet targets and expected outcomes of annual work plans and the donor agreements while remaining within budget
• Ensuring effective communication and maintain appropriate relationships with the stakeholders.
• Managing relationships with local institutions and individuals
• Assisting in coordinating in collaboration with partners.
• Assisting in Coordinating planning and feedback with the beneficiaries for the project.
• Preparing monthly reports for the project activities for submission to the assigned supervisor.
• Assisting in Coordinating in preparation of annual work plans, semi-annual & annual performance reports.

For the years I worked at the project- UTaNRMP, I gained experience and skills in the following areas;

• Client Management
• Office Documentation
• Risk management
• Procurement processes

Sept 2014 - July 2017 : A 3 year Diploma in project management at Thika Technical Training Institute.
