• Identification of eligible study participants from outpatient admissions and the wards
• Recruit participants who meet the study inclusion criteria
• Obtaining written informed consent from all enrolled study participants
• sample management and shipment to testing laboratory as per guidelines
• Uploading the data that has been collected electronically using tablets

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Registers all pediatrics’ surgical procedures carried out in the hospital and records all additional information required.

My responsibilities as an intern involved the following;

• Clerking patients and performing relevant investigations.
• Guiding patients and relatives with regards to diagnosis, treatment and follow up.
• Documenting and updating patients notes.
• Writing case summaries.
• Appropriate handing over patients.
• Presenting cases during ward rounds and grand rounds and other appropriate fora.
• Participating in continuing professional development activities (CMEs)
• Maintaining professional demeanor and conduct.
