I am a medical laboratory professional with over 12 years of experience in public (MoH-K) and Medicine San Frontiers (MSF). Over the years, I have worked in laboratory benches and currently manage laboratories of MSF in Somalia projects. I am tasked with setting up labs in new projects, implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), recruitment and capacity building, planning, budgeting, and procuring laboratory supplies, developing linkage with specialized referral laboratories, and, disease outbreak investigation.
While working with MoH-K, Wajir County Referral Laboratory was accredited with ISO 15189 by Kenya Accreditation Services (KENAS) in early 2019, the first public laboratory to be accredited in Kenya.
I have strong interpersonal skills, adore teamwork, and motivating others is my hobby.
I have eight (8) years of practical and four (4) years of managerial experience.
I went to primary schooling at Wajir Primary, the same school at the secondary level, did a bachelor of science at Kenyatta University, Kenya and, currently doing my dissertation for a Master of Public Health (Applied Epidemiology) at Amref International University, Kenya.
