Muturi Mwangi

As a procurement supervisor, I am responsible for overseeing the purchasing process for a company or organization. This includes identifying the goods and services needed, sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all purchases are made within budget and meet quality standards.

I will work closely with other departments within the company, such as finance, operations, and logistics, to ensure that the procurement process runs smoothly and that all stakeholders are satisfied with the goods and services being procured.

To be successful in this role, I will need strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will also need to stay up-to-date with market trends and best practices in procurement, as well as be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.

As a warehouse supervisor I have been responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse or distribution at 3M hardware ltd at Ruiru. This involves managing a team of employees, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently, and maintaining accurate inventory records.Also, have been ensuring that warehouse equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced and hiring and training new warehouse staff as needed.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Procurement and supply chain management which has really helped me in my day to day activity at the warehouse. I graduated in 2016 at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
