Nancy Akeyo

Nancy Akeyo has worked within and led multidisciplinary and international teams, and worked across multiple sectors, including international and local non-governmental organizations. She has a vast experience in working with adolescent girls, youths and women in different sectors. She began her career in project management and evolved into other positions’ that led her to project lead for adolescents and youths in her previous work.

She is passionate about girls and women empowerment and enjoy teaching them to be confident. She envisions a world where girls and women know values, talk freely with love, freedom, access to right information and agency to make informed choices.

She is a holder of Bachelor of Arts in Project Planning and Management and Masters degree (MBA-Strategic Management) from The University of Nairobi Kenya with additional skills in advocacy, Life coach, behavior change communication and Monitoring and evaluation. She has a wealthy experience of 10+ years cumulatively record of successful launching, directing and managing of education, Adolescent Sexual reproductive health (ASRH), child protection, health, advocacy, nutrition, economic empowerment and mentorship programs by management functions.

I am also devoting time to writing materials that is geared towards helping girls, which seeks to normalize conversations around menstruation and reproductive health and to tackle the period poverty in Kenya. I envision a world where girls know their values, talk freely about period, have access to right information and agency to make informed choices.
