This position is responsible for conducting research on various legal issues in respect to maternal health with the objective informing the organization's interventions in relation to legislation, policy and implementation of maternal health rights concerns and that the state complies with human rights standards regionally and internationally. This was to facilitate analysis and alignment of the various programs to the Universal Health Coverage which was introduced in Kenya in 2018 to ensure all Kenyans have access to essential quality health care without suffering financial hardship and leave no one behind. However, there was very little engagement with the most vulnerable citizens in shaping the UHC policy.

The main responsibility was analyzing the various laws and policies that guide our health sector and issue advisories as to the changes required.

• Collaborated with local schools, youth groups, and community centers to conduct outreach activities and awareness programs, providing adolescents with the necessary resources and information to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
• Report writing for internal and external audience on maternal health issues to create awareness and sensitivity any violations.
