I have over 8 years of experience in designing, coordination and implementation of monitoring, evaluations and Learning frameworks with proven success working on multi-year educational and agricultural development programs funded by various donors including USAID, GIZ, BMZ, SDC, SSNC and other donors. I have supported the implementation of the Knowledge Center for Organic Agriculture (KCOA) in Eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Madagascar) funded by BMZ through GIZ.
I have proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, theory of Change, M&E frameworks, operations research, among others using mobile application (Tangerine and Kobo Collect), reporting, Data Quality Audit (DQA), data analysis and presentation as well as knowledge management process; Extensive experience and mastery of M&E systems, practices, standards and innovations. Experience working with the national and international partners across 9 countries (4 in West and 5 in East Africa) on project implementation. Excellent knowledge and experience of statistical package for data manipulation and analysis (SPSS, STATA & advanced excel) and data visualization through dashboard using Power BI.
Am currently working as the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer – Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT), supporting 3 programmes: Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative (EOA-I), Knowledge Center for Organic Agriculture (KCOA) and Farmers Communication Programme (FCP). Some of my responsibilities include: Ensuring an appropriate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system is in place and is functioning satisfactorily, periodically reviewing and revising the system so that it is adapted appropriately to changing operating contexts, ensuring relevant and timely M&E information is provided in user-friendly formats to key stakeholders, including beneficiary communities, partners and donors, establishing and coordinating monitoring systems including data collection, analysis and review, providing support to project design and activities including strategic frameworks (Results framework, log frames etc), assisting the program teams to determine performance and impact indicators and targets, implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools, developing data collection tools, development of appropriate M&E databases to store, analysis and present relevant information, among others.
Prior to this, I worked as the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Tusome Kisumu, Eldoret and Garissa regions (23 Counties), and some of my key responsibilities are: Supporting the development and maintenance of M&E systems that will generate timely information and feedback to project counterparts at all levels, and to the Client, providing inputs into the preparation of annual, semi-annual and other required reports, proactively working with technical support team and project staff to collect and prepare performance data for these reports, contributing to the evaluation of results achieved by program and partners against their targets and track overall progress in achieving the program goals, providing feedback to the Project Leadership team on results and best practices, Capturing lessons learned and best practices, providing documentation and dissemination of information, developing presentations, abstracts, articles, and literature reviews for presentations and articles.
