I am currently working as a research assistant at African Population Health and Research Centre (APHRC). I am a dynamic and results-driven leader with over a year of experience in gender mainstreaming programs for people living in informal settlements and rural areas. I also have considerable experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative data. I hold a degree in Gender and Development Studies from Egerton University.
● I have successfully trained over 1000 men, women, and youth in informal settlements and rural areas on TVETs, the two-thirds gender rule, public participation, financial literacy, gender-based violence, and women in leadership.
● I have competently coordinated, mobilized, and trained over 500 youths in informal settlements in on TVETs
● I have proficiently worked with SDG-Kenya to sensitize women groups (chamas) in Kitui County about women empowerment, Gender Based Violence, Women Leadership, Financial literacy, and Public Participation.
● I have supported the M&E officer in the collection of relevant data for monitoring and evaluating project performance. I have conducted both qualitative and quantitative surveys (FGDs, KIIs, IDIs online phone call interviews) for various projects' baseline, midline and end-of-project, created tools that were used in the collection of data, and supported the analysis of data.
● I have successfully coordinated the mapping of women in Business in Kitui County, Identified their training needs, aided in the training of Women in Business and Young Feminist Movements in Kitui County, and reported on the same.
● I have successfully coordinated the baseline, midterm, and end-line evaluation of projects.
