Patience Barasa

Integrated Community Development graduate, I am passionate about creating positive change and empowering individuals and communities to thrive. Through my coursework , internships,volunteer-ship and work experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the complex social and economic issues facing communities today, and I am committed to using my skills and knowledge to make a difference.

My experience includes working with nonprofits and community organizations to develop and implement programs and initiatives that address issues such as mental health,FGM,SGBV and climate action.

In addition I am a strong collaborator and communicator who values diversity, equity, and inclusion. I believe that community development is a collaborative process that requires active listening, empathy, and a willingness to learn from and engage with diverse perspectives. Whether working with community members, policymakers, or other stakeholders, I strive to build relationships based on trust, respect, and shared goals.
