Over 15 years of solid experience in and knowledge of civil society, international development and programming work (both local and international) and international donor requirements
Significant and proven professional leadership and strategic management of international development and civil society programs and organizations.
Proven work experience in diverse development, civil society/NGO, democracy and governance, humanitarian, human rights and political dynamics and context, including closing space political and civic context.
A strong track record in complex, end-to-end program and project management, including grant making, management and supervision of grantees.
Proven strategic and visionary organization, leadership and management abilities, and skills in new business development and resource mobilization.
Experience in designing and delivering on major organizational strategies.
Experience in partnership and relationship-building and networking with development partners, government and non-government partners/institutions and citizens, organizations.
Experience and proven ability in research, litigation, mediation, reconciliation, training, programme and project design, leadership, implementation; and monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
Significant experience in leading, developing and managing teams, including remotely and across cultures.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritized action, hard working, open minded, very flexible, friendly and; ability to take initiatives; ability to work under little supervision; and believer in mentorship, continuous learning, and personal development.
Experience in high-impact research including analyzing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data and drawing out key themes and policy implications.
Excellent communication, reporting, writing and presentation skills.
Education
Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) Honours Degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Laws (LL.M) Degree in International Law from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
