Title: Accounts Clerk 1½ years
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
Analysis of budgetary allocations, expenditure and the various variances between expected and actual balances.
Assist with month-end financial reports
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Accounts Office of Examination and Validation
Preparation of Imprest Warrants and Payment Vouchers using Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS).
Examination of accounting records and balances.
Analysis of budgetary allocations, expenditure and the various variances between expected and actual balances.
Assist with month-end financial reports
Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation
Collaborate with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts
Manage monthly tracking of physical inventory
Support the payment processing team
Assist with data entry and filing
