Key responsibilities.

•  Evaluated and assessed nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans and screened patients for nutritional risk in accordance with established department protocols and standards.
•  Developed and implemented dietary care plans and provided nutritional counseling.
• Consulted with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restriction of patients.
•  Planned and initiated medical nutrition therapy to patients and indicated patient’s requirements as per clinical protocols.

• Advised patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.

• Coordinated recipe development and standardization and developing new menus for different vulnerable groups in the hospital.
• Counseled PMTCT (prevention of mother to child transmission) mothers on proper feeding practices and carried out demonstrations.
