Purity Mutakha

I am an experienced International School Teacher with specialization in literacy/English and Learning Support. I have interacted with learners on a wide spectrum in terms of ability, ethnicity and age and believe that I bring along a set of experience, apart from talents, that is unmatched and sufficient to boost the profile of learning in your school.

My passion and love for writing has resulted into me producing remarkable writers in all the classes I teach, giving them personal examples of exemplary writing and even pushing them into authoring an anthology of poems. I am a writer myself and has contributed into an anthology that I would be delighted to bring for reference.

I am currently a teacher a Greensteds International School where I teach English across the KS2 and KS3. In addition, I am a Learning Support Teacher that works from Junior School all through to Senior School. I have held this position in the institution since 2019.

Before then, I was a Shadow teacher in the same institution from March 2015 to September 2019.

From 2014-2015 March, I worked at The Montessori Learning Centre in Nairobi as a shadow teacher.

Prior to that, I was a Class Teacher and Teacher of English at Malezi School in Nairobi.

I went to Maseno University where I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree with a 2nd Class honors in Special Needs Education and I am TSC certified.

I have also done a certificate course in Teaching and Learning from Cambridge University.
