Rhoda Okono

I am currently working at Globetrack International as the head of Marketing.

At Slik Kingz Entertainment, I encountered all sorts of people and learned how to deal with several different personalities.

I have engaged with Teenwise media as an online platform manager, as well a writer for The Insyder Magazine. In the same tune for Mister Wok Restaurant. For the restaurant I also had to develop ‘street’ marketing strategies, on top of the online marketing in order to boost sales.

I have worked at a fashion production workshop. I was the quality control manager.

I was a student an United States International University. I have produced several short films, also been the script writer for several more. I was the editor in chief for the school magazine, as well as the cartoonist for the newspaper.

I enjoy working with children, fine arts, innovation, writing, and spoken word. In this creative line, I was the company artist for Generation Challenge Program in Mexico, and their website is decorated with parts of my paintings.

I would like to learn how to produce children's films, as well as write children's books. I have taught myself-through studying children's drawings, how to illustrate children's books.

• Developing a working schedule for The Insyder, as well as Slik Kingz Entertainment online presence, Plus for Sauti Magazine, and Kin Magazine.

• Assigning writers stories, photographers projects, and designers a theme to follow. 
• Once the magazine is done and all content is in order, sometimes I also had to source for appropriate printers in order to get the magazine to the target audience. 
• Ensuring that all writers are adequately prepped before being sent to the field. 

• Working and editing through Company Profiles and wording them to suit the target audience. 
• Re-working Teen’s stories for The Insyder to suit and fit the company’s writing style. 
• Taking photos, as well as using programs like Photoshop, Corel, and PowerPoint to edit them. 
• Ensuring all covered stories are in line with the theme that has been set. 
• Developing the theme for the magazine issue and time at hand. 
• Managing Slik Kingz Entertainment company social media sites. 

• Posting stories online daily on The Insyder Website. 
• Covering stories for The Insyder, Sauti Magazine, The Gazette, and Thick Curves Sensation, often involving field work. 
• Research on what is ‘in’ with the target audience in order to develop an informed story. 
• Identifying key informants and working with them to cultivate a well-versed story. 

• Developing unique designs for Slik Kingz Entertainment brand kit. 
• Coming up with interesting designs and layout for The Insyder’s online presence, as well as magazine. 
• Designing models’ outfits and poses for Sauti Magazine, The Insyder Magazine, plus Thick Curves Sensation.
• Creating daily posters for Instagram and Facebook accounts for Mister Wok Restaurant, Slik Kingz Tours & Travel, No Excuses Limited, and Slik Kingz Entertainment.
