Major Professional roles have been primarily focused as a software developer working with various middle-ware technologies building interfaces for medium to large scale applications. Provide application support for middle-ware financial application systems. Liaising with external partners to resolve and help set up systems to be integrated and ensuring that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
Responsibilities: ✓ Meeting with clients to determine requirements. ✓ Working with clients to define the scope project. ✓ Travelling to customer sites. ✓ Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization. ✓ Defining software, hardware and network requirements. ✓ Analyzing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT. ✓ Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems. Presenting solutions in written or oral reports. ✓ Helping clients with change management activities. Purchasing systems where appropriate. ✓ Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems. ✓ Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers.
Organizing training for users and other consultants. ✓ Being involved in sales and support, and where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organizations.
PROJECTS: Co-operative Bank of KENYA. MCO-OPCASH ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) Upgrade. (September 2017 – 2021). ✓ High availability architectural design and implementation i.e., Multiple instances’ of ESB running concurrently for both high availability and scalability on Oracle Weblogic 12c. ✓ Oracle Weblogic performance tuning. ✓ m-visa Integration – integrating with VISANET on both issuing and acquiring ✓ transaction on the ESB routing engine. ✓ BFUB Core banking OFFLINE transaction processing (during EOD/SOD& Downtime). ✓ Alert management –SMS & Email across all channels. ✓ Integrating –Messaging, translations, security, message response etc ✓ Integrating all payment systems–Money Transfer (Account to Account, ✓ Wallet/Account to Account/Wallet). ✓ B2C integration. ✓ Integrating all Channels (POS, Mobile Banking, Loan Scoring System) ✓ Integrating Bill Payment Service Providers–KPLC, DSTV etc ✓ Integrating Mobile Top-up – Safaricom, Airtel ✓ Integrating to Mobile Money providers–MPESA and Airtel Money ✓ Reports and data visualization creation. ✓ Development and Support of a Mobile applicatiowith a web-based admin portal with capabilities of Balance Inquiries, Mini statements, Fund Transfers (Bank to Bank, Bank to Mobile Money), Airtime Top-up (for Mobile Phones). ✓ Development and Support of a USSD Based Mobile Handset System with a webbased admin portal with capabilities of Balance Inquiries, Mini statements, Fund Transfers (Bank to Bank, Bank to Mobile Money), Airtime Top-up (for Mobile Phones) ✓ Development and support of Middle-ware Java applications that are part of the mobile wallet structure. The main focus was integration of bill payment utilities to the core banking system via a dedicated enterprise service bus (ESB). ✓ PESALINK integration ✓ Safaricom Host to Host integration ✓ Bug fixing of already developed applications as a part of the support structure
