I have been in the airline industry since 2001 and have been doing documents verification since 2005. My main duties and responsibilities include verification of passports and visas and identification of forged / counterfeit documents. I work closely with different embassies and in the process I have benefited from world class trainings that enable me perform my duties to perfection. I have the knowledge and understanding of different types of visas as well as rules and regulations.
I have good interpersonal skills as well as people skills. I worked for Kenya airways as a customer service agent from Feb, 2001 to Nov, 2005 before joining their travel documents team where I worked till Feb 2011 before joining Emirates Group Security in 2011. I worked for Emirates till August 2020.
Currently, am working with Swissport Kenya performing the same role. My stay in the middle East saw me interact with different nationalities and I gained lots of experience especially on matters on different cultures. My major accomplishment was when I intercepted a lady who had assumed someones identity.
Her facilitator was arrested and there was a court hearing where I had to appear as a witness.
Diploma in Aviation Security from Edith Cowan University
Security starts with me. This has made me understand that we cannot rely on security personnel to effectively or solely keep us secure. This has helped me in my line in duty and in my everyday activities. I have also learnt that if you see something, say something.
I also hold several diplomas from Institute of chattered management. Public relations, Business administration and management , sales and sales management , international business, public relations and marketing.
