Simon Gakunju

I am a graduate from KMTC Nairobi with a diploma in occupational therapy and registered with Kenya occupational therapist association (KOTA) .I have been working with the association for the physically disabled of Kenya (APDK) since 2008 as an occupational therapist working at the therapy clinic at Wetlands and at the community based rehabilitation as the community based rehabilitation coordinator at APDK Nairobi Branch. later I joined handicap international as the rehabilitation officer in 2016 till now.in all my duties my target clients are children and adults with different conditions. I had an opportunity to coordinate the CBR program organizing the trainings for health workers, community health volunteer (CHV), community health assistants (CHA), person with disabilities and parents on early identification, prevention and management of different conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, attention deficit, clubfoot deformities among others, In addition I do weekly, monthly and annual reports of the program for monitoring purpose.
