Simon Peter Wafula

Simon is a Kenyan at birth. He is passionate about machine maintenance, products design and development, production supervision. He also has experience working in startups, leading and managing projects with people in different locations and time zones, both as a manager or leader.

He enjoys creating functional and nonfunctional prototypes, designing the architecture of new products, and conducting customer and end-user interviews to determine the best solutions. He is methodical and is aware of how to turn ideas and functions into specifications and documentation. He is social and knows how to work individually and as part of a team.

He has experience managing teams that work on developing products for the market, mechanics, maintenance, and safety. Having the required resources, he can develop functional prototype in a couple of hours and a working prototype in a couple of days.

As an Agro-processing Engineer.

Ability to plan and design feasible plants and sites plus general machine assembly aimed at reducing accidents that workers may incur during their time of work and also make sure that co-related machines are positioned at certain points to reduce on the costs of material handling during production.

Ability to control processes and operational parameters, carry out general operation supervision of the production line, make necessary chemical verifications that should be put in a food substance in order to ensure consumer safety (mainly in the laboratory).

As the profession states, an Engineer able to maintain, repair, replace and offer advice on machine handling. Ability to carry out general management of the fellow workers. Ability to offer technical advice and take part in marketing of the products.

As a Mechanical Engineer

Great skills in engineering of;

Material science which is more of material selection for the desired purpose, machining of metals, foundry techniques and heat treatment, welding operations, toxic metal treatment through Nano filtration of the waste water from highly chemical intensive plants.

Highly knowledgeable on Quality Assurance and Quality control of the processes involved in production of finished products. Great knowledge on ISO 9001:2015 and other quality standards both on the National and International levels. The quality experience gained from the so many quality Gurus like Deming, Ishikawa, Juran and so many others. Well informed of the six sigma which emphasizes on production with nearly zero defects plus the QFD knowledge.

Great knowledge on Project Management with all the key knowledge areas associated with project implementation like project time management, project cost management, project quality management, project risk management, project human resource management, and so many others.

Great knowledge on strategic business management with enough business theories from highly successful professors like Michael Porter from Harvard University.

Well informed about logistics management and other inventory related processes.

Great knowledge on bio energy through thermal bio-degradation, room heating and air conditioning as well as refrigeration and evaporation.

Knowledgeable in fluid flows and Numerical methods as well as discretization and heavy computer program data analysis like Ease.
