Geographical information systems professional fluent in Microsoft Office suite, Cartography and GIS. I have also developed a passion for using geospatial technologies to bring together spatial data. My career objective is to further my knowledge and skills within the field of Geomatics which I have gained over the last 15 years in varying roles under the field of Geospatial field. While exploring what it means to be an engineer, I'm also learning how to code too.
I have had opportunity to train students (GIS / CAD- Practical’s) at the University of Nairobi Geospatial (during my year of internship at the Geospatial Department) Lab as well as other colleges in the past as you will find in my CV. I am versatile - I can take on a wide range of mapping and planning roles with no supervision.
I am a team player with the capacity to work under adverse environment, tight deadlines as well as ability to learn new skills aptly.
During the World-Bank/ UN funded Kenya Municipal Programmed (KMP) for spatial plan development in select towns / Cities in Kenya, 2013-2015, I was privileged to participate in various Cluster towns as a GIS technician, Technologist and Field Lead. The towns are Mombasa, Naivasha, Nakuru, Kitui, Machakos ,Embu and Nyeri.
I also was privileged in 2011-2012 to be contracted as a Lands / GIS Officer with the Bridge International Academies where my core duty was to come up with a GIS-Base property Management System which is still in use today (a decade later).
