Steve Oloo

I am a JKUAT PhD in Human Resource Management student through with course work, and at thesis writing stage, Maseno University Master of Business Administration- Human Resource Management- postgraduate; a University of Nairobi Bachelor of Education graduate, and with more than 12 years’ experience in the education/training sector in Kenya. My experience spans the areas teaching, instructional design, Trainer of Trainers (TOT), institutional leadership and administration and the general learner life cycle management (including planning and execution of recruitment, admissions, registration, learning material preparation, training, exam setting, moderation, proof reading, exam administration, research and attachment supervision, marking, exam data management, disciplinary and awards, certification, graduation and learner welfare management). Further, I have hands on experience in Curriculum development, implementation and assessment; quality assurance of learning and training programs; trainer/trainee performance management;

education stakeholder engagement and partnership creations amongst many related others. These experiences have honed my teaching and general pedagogical skills, leadership and people management skills, corporate communication skills, interpersonal and networking skills, analytical skills, research and reporting skills, team building skills, and general professional/ethical competencies for managing sensitive data.

Currently, I am an excellent part-time lecturer in HRM and Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Prior to this, I was, a full time employee and Head of Examinations department at Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) Nairobi Head Office. I was also in charge of Test Development, Measurement & Evaluation, and Quality Assurance at KIM.

I also served as an excellent Training Officer at the KIM Kisumu Branch. I have also had part-time lecturing experience at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), (formerly Bondo University College) and Maseno University.
