About

I'm a full-stack engineer with about 3 years of building web applications that real people use.

At Africa Cloud

Space I shipped a student-parent portal that reached 1,000+ users.

I work across the whole stack: Next.js and React on the frontend, .NET Core and Django on the backend, PostgreSQL and SQL Server underneath. I won the 2025 Tech Run Hackathon. I graduate from UEAB with a BSc in Software Engineering in 2026.

Experience

Full-Stack Developer - Personal & Academic Projects

(2022-01)

  • Built full-stack projects using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Django, FastAPI, and .NET Core across different problem domains.
  • Set up auth, RBAC, database migrations, and input validation from scratch on each one.
  • Used TanStack Query for state and API sync; kept a consistent focus on how the app would behave under load.

Frontend Developer - UEAB

(2023-01 - 2024-12)

  • Maintained the IEC web app in Next.js and Tailwind CSS; owned the component library used across the site.
  • Set up TanStack Query caching so the app didn't hammer the API on every page visit.
  • Worked directly with backend developers to agree on API shapes before building the UI against them.

Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern - Africa Cloud Space

(2025-04 - 2025-09)

  • Built a student-parent academic portal from scratch; it reached 1,000+ active users by the time I left.
  • Handled authentication end-to-end: JWT tokens, role-based access control for student, parent, and admin roles, route guards on both frontend and backend.
  • Wired up TanStack Query for client-side caching, which cut the volume of repeat API calls noticeably on slow connections.
  • Delivered the main feature surfaces: student profiles, academic results, announcements, parent dashboards.
  • Fixed production bugs alongside the team and shipped hotfixes under time pressure.
