220KV/66KV Substation construction: Took part in construction of 220KV/66KV Athi River step down substation. This involved installation of busbars, Current Transformers, Voltage Transformers, breakers, disconnectors, transformers and control circuits.
SCADA operation: Took part in operation of SCADA and communicated with National Control Centre to ensure the national grid was smoothly operating.
Operations and maintenance: Planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of transmission lines.
Substation testing: Conducted contact resistance tests, earth resistance tests, pole discrepancy tests, polarity tests and insulation resistance tests on various equipment in the substation.
Substation protection: Conducted spring tests and SF6 gas tests to ensure the circuit breakers were in optimal conditions for substation protection.
Reporting: Prepared tests reports to present tests findings.
