Kenya Railways is a state-owned corporation that is in-charge of managing Kenya’s railway system.

In this capacity have among other things:

• Media Monitoring and Analysis: I assisted in monitoring media coverage and compiling media reports to track the organization's mentions in various media channels, including print, online, and broadcast media. This helped in understanding public perceptions and identifying opportunities for positive media exposure.
• Content Creation: I contributed to the development of engaging and informative content for various communication platforms, such as press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates. This involved conducting research, interviewing subject matter experts, and ensuring the content aligned with the organization's messaging.
• Social Media Management: I actively participated in managing the organization's social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. I helped create and schedule posts, responded to user comments and messages, and engaged with followers to maintain a positive online presence. Internal Communications: I contributed to internal communication efforts, such as drafting employee newsletters, assisting with intranet content management, and promoting company-wide initiatives.
• Analytics and Reporting: I was involved in gathering and analyzing communication metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and media coverage, to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
• Research and Market Analysis: I conducted research on industry trends, competitor communications, and best practices in corporate communications and public relations to provide valuable insights for the team's decision-making processes.
• General Administrative Support: I assisted with various administrative tasks, such as filing and dispatching documents to various departments.
