• *Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative for a leading Oil & Gas client in Kuwait. The role focuses on designing and delivering advanced data-driven engineering solutions, production optimization systems, and automated digital workflows for upstream operations.

The candidate will play a key role in architecture design, solution delivery, and mentoring junior developers, while collaborating with global stakeholders and domain experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex backend systems using Python.
• Architect scalable and high-performance solutions for production engineering and digital oilfield platforms.
• Develop advanced data processing and optimization algorithms for:
• Network Pressure Optimization (NPO)
• Chemical Injection Optimization (CIO)
• Sand Prediction & Control Monitoring (SPCM)
• Surface Equipment Monitoring (SEM)
• Build automated workflows for field data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting.
• Implement RESTful services and system integrations with enterprise platforms.
• Design robust data models and ensure system reliability and performance.
• Develop customized dashboards and engineering tools for operational decision support.
• Implement automated alerts, exception handling, and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead requirement analysis and solution architecture discussions with clients.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, documentation, and security best practices.
• *Required Skills
• 8+ years of strong experience in Python development.
• Expertise in backend system design, automation, and data engineering.
• Strong experience in building production-grade systems and workflows.
• Solid understanding of engineering analytics and data-driven applications.
• Knowledge of:
• PTA (Pressure Transient Analysis)
• RTA (Rate Transient Analysis)
• Material Balance methods
• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Oil & Gas digital platforms (P7, Nexus, NETool preferred).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
