Electronics engineer building AI systems that run on the device itself, not on remote servers. Designs computer-vision and audio-processing systems that run on a small embedded computer (Raspberry Pi) and recognize and classify in the moment — offline and without latency. Because the accuracy of any AI system begins with its data, takes on the hardest part: building datasets from scratch, writing the annotation guidelines, measuring inter-rater agreement, and evaluating results against metrics that hold up under imbalanced data rather than headline accuracy.

Behind that sit twenty years of electronics and embedded systems engineering, so the sensor, the circuit, the power budget and the model are designed as one system rather than as separate parts.

Embedded Systems Engineer & Circuit Designer at Independent Engineering Practice (2010-01 – Present)

• Designed and delivered 100+ embedded, AI-enabled systems to clients in Kuwait, the GCC and remotely, across industrial automation, IoT and edge computer vision.
• Designed the sensing chain and the model together — sensor selection, signal conditioning, sampling rate, feature extraction, model size and on-device latency as a single budget.
• Documented and handed over pipelines so the client team could retrain and deploy without the original author.

Electrical Technology Teacher (Practical Studies) at Ministry of Education (2009-09 – 2026-12)

• Designed and delivered the practical electronics and electrical curriculum for 17 years, and supervised student projects on Arduino, Raspberry Pi and sensor automation.
• Ran practical laboratories combining circuit building, measurement, electrical control and embedded systems.
• Designed and equipped test benches and laboratory rigs, and diagnosed faults in measuring instruments and trainers.
• Built sensor and microcontroller automation systems and trained students on them; several reached national student competitions.

• In the earlier period: delivered lectures and practical workshops in electrical engineering and applied computing, including university teaching in computer and network fundamentals, with supervision of student projects from proposal to defence.
