How to Export Your Data

Under GDPR and data portability regulations, you have the right to download a complete copy of the personal data BeBee holds about you. The export is provided in a machine-readable format so you can review it or transfer it to another service.

How to Request a Data Export

1. Log in to your BeBee account.
2. Go to Dashboard > Settings.
3. Select the Privacy tab.
4. Click Export My Data.
5. Choose which data categories to include (or select all).
6. Click Request Export.

You will receive an email with a secure download link once your export is ready.

What Is Included

You can export some or all of the following categories:

Profile Information

• Name, headline, bio, location, and contact details
• Profile photo and portfolio images
• Skills, experience, and education entries

Messages and Conversations

• All sent and received messages
• Conversation metadata (timestamps, participants)

Job Activity

• Applications submitted and their status
• Saved jobs and job alert preferences
• Service requests and proposals (for marketplace users)

Reviews

• Reviews you have written
• Reviews others have written about you

Account Settings

• Email preferences and notification settings
• Privacy settings and data sharing choices
• Subscription and billing history

Uploaded Files

• CVs and resumes
• Portfolio documents and attachments

Export Format

Your data is delivered as a ZIP archive containing:

• JSON files for structured data (profile, applications, settings, messages). These are machine-readable and can be opened in any text editor or imported into other tools.
• Original files for uploads (photos in JPG/PNG, CVs in PDF/DOCX).
• A README.txt file explaining the archive structure and each file's contents.

Download Link Details

• The download link is sent to your registered email address.
• The link is valid for 7 days after generation.
• The download is protected and requires you to be logged in to your BeBee account.
• If the link expires, you can request a new export at any time.

Frequency Limits

To prevent abuse, data exports are limited to one request per 24 hours. If you need an urgent export outside this limit, contact support@bebee.com.

Alternative: Subject Access Request

If you cannot log in or prefer a formal request, email privacy@bebee.com with:

• Your full name and email address associated with your BeBee account
• A copy of a government-issued ID for identity verification

GDPR requires BeBee to fulfill Subject Access Requests within 30 days.
