Role Description The Network and Security Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Benghazi. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure to support the company’s construction and real-estate operations. Daily tasks include configuring and monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; managing network performance; and troubleshooting connectivity and security issues.

The engineer will implement and review security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor for threats, and coordinate incident response to protect systems and data. The role also involves documenting network and security configurations, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, supporting end users, and contributing to continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, VLANs, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with network design, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing and maintaining security policies, access controls, and encryption standards.
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and incident response activities.
• Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux servers and integrating them with network and security solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, Security+, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Experience in construction, contracting, or real-estate environments is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Benghazi and support mission-critical systems with high reliability.
