🎯 Your mission As a Senior Full Stack Engineer specialising in AI, you'll play a key role in building our platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building robust, scalable and high-performance backend services in Node.js / TypeScript.
- Playing an active part in the design and evolution of our microservices architecture.
- Developing and optimising generative AI systems, in particular RAG-based (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
- Building secure, well-documented and optimised RESTful APIs for our applications.
- Managing interactions and communication between the different services of our ecosystem.
- Optimising application performance, from database queries (MongoDB, Elasticsearch) to resource consumption.
- Setting up and maintaining logging, monitoring and alerting solutions to guarantee the reliability of our services.
✅ Who we're looking for Someone genuinely passionate about technology and AI, ready to take on complex challenges.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong backend expertise.
- Excellent command of the Node.js / TypeScript ecosystem.
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Solid skills in MongoDB (schema design, optimisation) and Elasticsearch (indexing, search).
- Expert-level Git: branching workflows and collaborative development best practices.
- Containerisation with Docker holds no secrets for you.
- Meaningful hands-on experience with generative AI technologies: RAG, LLM API integration (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.) and a good grasp of the underlying concepts.
Nice to have:
- In-depth knowledge of vector databases and similarity search (embeddings).
- Experience with chunking and retrieval strategies.
- Proficiency with frameworks such as LangChain.
- An eye for LLM response evaluation and optimisation.
