Role summary

• Architect and evolve secure, scalable, multi-account AWS platforms that accelerate developer agility and productivity. Lead infrastructure automation and CI/CD modernization, champion observability and reliability aligned to SRE principles, and deliver the platform as a product with clear SLAs and self-service capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and evolve cloud platforms that enable scalability, security, and developer agility across multi-account AWS environments.

• Drive automation and standardization through Terraform/AWS CDK modules, golden templates, and reusable blueprints integrated with internal developer portals.

• Lead CI/CD modernization by defining best practices, enforcing policy-as-code, and implementing continuous delivery pipelines that scale enterprise-wide.

• Champion observability and reliability through proactive monitoring, SLO-driven operations, and incident automation aligned to SRE principles.

• Elevate developer experience by embedding self-service workflows, API-driven provisioning, and platform documentation (e.g., Backstage).

Required skills

• AWS Platform Mastery: Deep knowledge of EKS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, and Control Tower patterns.

• Infrastructure & Automation Leadership: Expert in Terraform, AWS CDK, and GitOps workflows; designs scalable IaC ecosystems with security baked in.

• CI/CD & Reliability Engineering: Advanced experience in GitHub Actions and observability stacks (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).

• Security, Governance & Compliance: Skilled at enforcing guardrails via SCPs, Config, AWS SSO, and implementing least privilege IAM across teams.

• Platform-as-a-Product Mindset: Builds internal platforms with clear SLAs, service ownership, and a focus on accelerating developer productivity and satisfaction.
