Application Support Engineer IBM MQ.
Requirements.
- +3 yoe with Java, Microservices and AWS providing support in 24/7 production environments.
- Experience with API integrations, microservices, and service‑oriented architectures.
- Knowledge of enterprise messaging using IBM MQ. Server
- Experience or knowledge of IBM DataPower, Kong, and API traffic management.
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring and observability tools, especially Dynatrace.
- Strong knowledge of incident and service request management under ITIL.
- Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and messaging systems.
- Strong communication skills, particularly during critical incidents.
- Ability to document processes and solutions in a structured and reusable manner.
- Provide 24/7 production support for critical applications, ensuring service availability and operational stability.
- Monitor application health and performance using Dynatrace, proactively identifying incidents and service degradations.
- Manage incidents and service requests in accordance with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues related to APIs, microservices, and messaging flows.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and message queues to identify root causes of incidents.
- Support API traffic management using IBM DataPower and Kong.
- Monitor and resolve messaging incidents using IBM MQ.
- Actively participate in major incident and release coordination meetings, providing clear and timely status updates.
- Maintain and update operational documentation, procedures manuals, and knowledge base articles.
- Advanced 80-95%.
