Controller

• *Role Summary

We're looking for a hands-on controller to own the month-end close and deliver reliable, high-quality financials for our clients. You'll manage a small team of accountants, partner with CFOs on FP&A work, and act as a primary liaison for client communication.

• *Key Responsibilities
• Own full-cycle accounting including general ledger accuracy, month-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain clear, thorough client communication — handling questions and issues with confidence and professionalism.
• Lead and develop a team of 2 accountants/bookkeepers, holding a high bar for quality while fostering a strong team dynamic.
• Juggle relationships across multiple US-based clients, adapting to each client's workflows and processes without dropping the ball.
• Proactively spot and resolve discrepancies on your own, looping in CFOs and teammates as needed.
• Leverage inventory management knowledge to support accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reviews, catching errors and ensuring everything ties out.
• Champion automation and AI adoption to improve workflows across the firm.
• *Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA or equivalent strongly preferred).
• Advanced English proficiency — both written and verbal.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven track record working directly with clients.
• Solid grasp of inventory accounting.

• QuickBooks Online experience.
• Exposure to FP&A processes.
• Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools.
• Prior work with consumer brands or e-commerce companies.
